Yes! The flashing allows skin to absorb the red light more efficiently. The shield has a skin sensor that activates the LEDs when it is in direct contact with your skin. Direct contact allows your skin to absorb as much light as possible. After 3 minutes, you will hear a beep, indicating that you should move to the next treatment zone.
